Fox Valley Animal Referral Center Fox Valley Animal Referral Center in Appleton, WI was selected as the recipient of the 2007 Spirit of Shayna Award. Since 2005 Drs. Lisa Peters and Lou Licari and staff have volunteered their time to attend the Door County Scottie Rally to perform abdominal ultrasound screenings on our 4 legged attendees. Their time and expertise have led to the early diagnosis of suspected gallbladder, bladder and other health issues which resulted in referrals to their primary care veterinarians and/or veterinary oncologists. Their support of the Door County Scottie Rally in the provision of these services has had an enormous fiscal and emotional impact on our attendees. In 2007 they performed 27 ultrasounds ---- and spent time talking with each family regarding their findings. There aren’t enough “paws” of applause we can give them for their assistance in enhancing the care of our noble breed! |

Robin Bronsky Web Designer Extraordinaire When we step back and consider what has been the most influential factor in contributing to the success and growth of the Door County Scottie Rally it is our website which was launched in 2003. The person responsible for the design and implementation of www.doorcountyscottierally.com is Robin Bronsky, an innovative young woman who resides in New Jersey and happens to be the youngest daughter of Tom Bronsky! Personal connections aside….since the site was launched Robin has donated hundreds of hours to our website and all pro bono. We estimate that her efforts have saved us thousands of dollars all of which have been put to good use for the benefit of our favorite “furkids”. Although Robin wasn’t able to be at the Rally the past 2 years----we felt that with the transition of our website to a new person----it was high time she received some official recognition and appreciation for what she has done. So although no formal presentation was made at the Rally-----you can see she was delighted with her award.

In addition to being the queen of Silent Auction Baskets of Scottie goods…she has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to our success and has been known to stop her car in traffic to spread the word about our event! We are confident that Shayna had a paw in the selection of Sue for this first award----there couldn’t have been a more perfect candidate!
